Sibolga, formerly sometimes spelledSiboga,is a cityport located in the natural harbour ofSibolga Bayon the west coast ofNorth Sumatraprovince, inIndonesia.The cityis close to theNiasarchipelago and to thickly forested mountains. Around the turn of the 20th century it was an old trading port under English and then Dutch administration.
